Our white oak tub has stave handles galvanized iron hoops and is paraffin coated on the inside for watertightness. Sides are about 9" tall and it is about 14 1/2 " in diameter. Holds about 4 gallons.

not for hard use

Our poor oak washtub didn't survive it's first winter at the historic site--we kept it full of water and with the changing temperatures the bottom split out of it. Our former whiskey-barrels did not split.

Heavy duty, lovely quality

Used this oak bucket for our wedding to hold drinks & to look at home in an old barn. The quality is exceptional. Very heavy, sturdy, REAL. Now it holds our child’s toys and is substantial enough that she can climb all over it and not tip it over. Thank you Townsends for your beautiful & high quality products!
