1745 English Shilling

Very common British silver coin. About the size of a quarter but much thinner. Issued under the rule of King George II (1727-60), this shilling is marked LIMA below the head. This mark denotes this coin as being struck from Spanish-American silver that was seized by the British at Lima. Our copy is cast from lead free pewter.

Finely detailed replica

Amazing coin! Looks very realistic.
Had a slight problem with it not being sent at first and once I let the company know,they sent me two as a courtesy.

The most basic English coin

This was one of the most basic British coins for day to day life from the colonial period to the change to decimal currency in the early 1970's.

5 shillings to the crown.
20 shillings to the pound.
21 shillings to the guinea.

It is all but impossible to do any sort of living history' where you discuss trade and money without at least one of these.
