Blackjack Mug

Good mug.

Beautiful mug. I wanted this one for the smaller size and simple but gorgeous aesthetic. Exactly what I wanted.

I LOVE these! I had seen them quite some time ago and questioned their usefulness for myself and never purchased one. Then I happened to buy an espresso maker and didn’t have a proper sized cup for lattes - until now! I purchased two of these and they are PERFECT. The glaze finish is so much nicer in person than comes across in the pictures and I was very pleasantly surprised. They fit so nice in the hand - even my husband says they couldn’t be more perfect for that morning cappuccino.

I bought one of these mugs about a year ago, and never regretted it. The color that I got was a wonderful dark blue with some interesting drip patterns which are quite lovely. This week I added a second one to my growing collection. This one is distinctly brown in color, and it's neat to compare the two and see the work that the potter put into each one. Every mug is truly unique and a work of art. They're also wonderfully comfortable and feel good in your hands. Something about the design just seems -right- when you hold one. I definitely plan on collecting more of them now, I think a set of six would be a fine addition to my, or anyone's, kitchen!

During one of my travels, I visited the much heralded Nutmeg Tavern for some pleasant discourse and meal. I saw the owner and other occupants drinking from these Mugs which were well decorated unfortunately the Barkeep informed me that not many of those designs were made and the last one was sold some time prior. but offered me this fine Blackjack mug as a suitable substitute.
Although smaller this mug is simplistic in style yet well made and since it carries the King's mark, I am sure it will last me many years to come.
