This is the tea mug of my dreams!

I have been searching for this cup for years!
About 22 years ago, in a shop in Font Royal, Virginia, I purchased a mug in this shape. I have adored that mug, and my only regrets have been the slipperiness of the glaze, and the size, which is sometimes too small.
This tankard fixes all the things I don’t like about that mug, and has all the things I love about it!
The photos do not do justice to the glaze - the salt glaze gives a lovely golden sheen gradient to half of this mug. The stoneware is a good thickness, and the whole item gives a sense of sturdiness. The thickness also provides decent heat retention.
I find this shape very comfortable to hold, and the textured zone around the top is wonderfully grippy! I have been drinking Colonial Bohea out of it - a very satisfying experience!

Perfection

I purchased this tankard back in August of 2021, and have continued to drink my coffee from it every single morning since. It is truly the finest piece of pottery that I own, in terms of shape, color, texture, and craftsmanship.
I adore how it feels in my hands - I can hold it in both without my fingers meeting - perfect for hand-warming on cool mornings. I hand wash it, and it looks as good as it did when I first unwrapped it.
I should probably buy a spare, because I would be fairly heart-broken were I ever break this one. Perhaps it's odd to be so attached to a "cup", but this tankard is proof that a utilitarian object can also be considered a work of art.

English Tankard Wonderful Purchase

I own two of these beautifully crafted tankards. Both are my "go-to's" for tea and coffee at both work and home. They are well worth the investment!

Beautiful, great product!

I had long wanted to order the English Tankard after watching Jon drinking his tea from one during the livestreams. When I went to order one I found it was sold out but I requested a notification when they were available and, as promised, I received the notice and placed the order. It came today (one day early!), securely packaged and even nicer than I expected. the tankard is such a nice size and weight, plus I can make a decent size tea and it keeps tea warm a long time. Thanks very much for a smooth transaction and an excellent product!
