Work Smock - Linen

$195.00

Also known as "Waggoner Frocks," Work Smocks were often worn by the 18th century working class as an outer garment to protect clothing from being soiled. These articles are well documented by Moreland and Diderot, as well as in period art.  Oversized, roomy, and long. 10" longer than our workshirts with 14" side slits for improved mobility. This also makes an excellent night shirt.  Available in sizes XS to 4XL.

Linen smock

I order this smock with a hunting shirt design in mind. It has no collar and is open in the front like a hunting coat. The workmanship is superb fits great and gives me freedom of movement without binding. To many great things to say , even the choice of linen was the right one. Thanks to all the great people at Townsends who made this idea a reality!!!

Another great smock!

Last summer I ordered the osnaberg version (I reviewed it as well) and I have to say this linen one fits and feels even better.

Good stuff

I've got two of these. I use them as intended, also as an over shirt and as a night shirt. They were a great comfort after all my major operations.
