Genuine Beaver Canadian Cap

I am sorry to write this review but I have no choice. The hat in the photo looks real nice,but the fur on mine is very badly pieced together with different shades of light and dark fur,it looks really bad.The lining is very badly sewn so it drapes down and is visable and unsightly when it is worn. I have ordered many things from townsends before and had no complaints but this one is just a very poor job.

I've had the hat for a couple of years now and it is just like new. When I first get it the fur trim was sewed on very sloppily. (That's the reason for 4 stars.) I had to rip out the stitching and re do the entire beaver trim so the lining didn't show when I wore it. That was a few hours effort, but now I have a very nice French Canadian hat that I wear for reenacting and casual modern wear as well.
Paired with my Icelandic sweater, it my Santa casual head wear. I am a professional mall Santa during November and December and this is the hat I wear to and from the mall before getting into my formal Santa attire.

Just as warm as can be. Very well made. I measured from an inch above my brow to just under the "nap" of my head in the back. Sized up prefect. Cover the top part of my ears just right. Daughter thought it was kinds heavy. I reminded her Heavy duty means times means that. Many thanks. Oh, Have a bigger snow white beard. So much so the neighbor kids call me Santa. This gonna be a lot of fun.
