This colonial style was used for over 100 years well into the 19th century. Authentic cut with neck and sleeve gussets. Made in fine white cotton fabric with pleated ruffles at the cuff and collar. Very dressy. Generously cut.

For the Gentleman.

lets be honest, most of the time you're dressing as a soldier or a laborer but when you want to show off as a gentleman, this is the way to go. Lace at the collar and cuffs.

it's not for the battlefield or the workshop but when you want to make an impression-this is the go to.

Thank you Becky. Love the ruffles. It makes for a fine dress when wearing with the linen coat (by Debbie) that I also received with this order. I can wear this shirt with the Townsends wool coat I had bought previously. Townsends meets my expectation for quality. My hat is off to you folks.

Just received my medium sized shirt in the male today. Even in general measurements, it fit perfectly! The cotton feels comfortably soft and it's very well made. My compliments to Becky for the excellent sewing on this one. Highly recommend this shirt.

Perfect fit

First purchase of historical clothing and could not have been any better for an independent shopping experience. Followed the measurements and watched the video from below about sizing. Not a single issue with fit around the neck or in length of sleeves. Ordered a medium and have more than enough room in the body.

Quality of material is stunning. The pride of craftsmanship is clearly evident.

I have a new found respect for our forefathers for wearing clothing like this. Is there anything else that could be added to this shirt, no. Although I love ruffles now.
