Bone Dominoes
A classic European set of 28 dominoes. They come in a cloth bag. Approx. 1-7/8" long x 7/8" wide x 3/8" thick. Made of bone and marked with black paint.
Dominoes were popular in Italy during the early 18th century. They then spread throughout Europe and were extremely popular in France during the mid-eighteenth century, reaching England and American during the late 18th century.
Also available is a 12 pg pamphlet with the basics for domino games along with a variety of specific games.
Since these are made of a natural material there will be some variation in the color and texture and they are not particularly good at standing up on end.

The description says that the pips are "painted". I thought i'd buy two sets, sand off the pips, drill pips for a set of double 9's, and paint the pips. Well these dominoes are better than i wanted, the pips aren't just painted on. They're drilled to make indents and THEN painted. Much better way of doing things. Guess i'll just have to be (very) happy with two sets of better than expected doubles 6's. What a problem to have
