Buttonhook - Large

I never thought about buttonhooks until I really needed one. If you have a lot of small buttons or buttons that need to be done in hard to reach places then, you need a buttonhook. These buttonhooks are based on a late 19th century French example. They are made right here in our shop from German silver ( a white brass metal ). Great for gaiters! Approximately 5" long.

Saved my fingers

I bought this for my Victorian, button up boots. It was nearly impossible to get the little buttons through the stiff leather buttonholes.
The hook ended up being just a little too big for the buttons, but I was able to bend it with some pliers to make it the right size.
Beautifully made and a pleasure to use!

something vitally needed if you wear gaiters.

This is a tool that either you need one or you don't. If you wear gaiters, either splatterdashes or full size this is vitally important to get them properly tight.

you just can't do up 18 buttons a leg and have them properly tight by just using your fingers-trust me I've tried it is a long an painful process. Using this though to go through the button hole and draw the button back through it? and it's done in no time.

If you wear something that tight, this is a must have. I only took a point off for the item being a little slim in he grip, needing only something you can hold onto to really crank it.
