I was initially unsure if this clasp or the small cloak clasp (style E/ BG-36E) would work well for a modern cloak pattern, so I ordered both. Style E works better for that project but I like this midsized clasp for a longer, historical cloak pattern I have in mind. Cloak clasp style D is a nice size that is not overwhelming nor would it get lost in the garment. The large, open design of the clasp can help compliment the fabric and would look great as a set. The only surprise was the size of the hook but once on thick fabric, the size makes sense. Highly recommend this product!
