    Very Well Made Trade Knife

Just so you know, this is very verb sharp knife. What the old timers would have called "sticky sharp" . Handle caredfully

    Great knife

I received this knife as a gift from my husband with a warning, its sharp! Beautifully made, full tang with brass pins on exquisite maple stock. I love this knife, thank you Townsends for bringing us such quality goods.

    A superb knife

This is a superb knife. It arrived shaving sharp, no honing or stropping needed. The wood of the grip is gorgeous, it's comfortable in the hand and the balance suits me. After a little whittling on basswood and white pine to test the edge, it still cleanly sliced onions, ripe tomatoes, and summer squash. The blade with full length tang has a solid feel.

This will be a kitchen knife (I take these things seriously) but it would make an excellent hiking and camping knife. The blade length is usable for any food prep or chores until a hatchet is needed. It will be in a sheath on my belt when I'm at the grill.

It isn't inexpensive but I expect to hand this down to a later generation after many years of use. It reflects the quality I've come to expect from Townsends. As usual, shipping was fast and the packing protected the item.
